Summer’s In Full Swing…

Here it is, the end of July already!  We have really been having some fun at events this summer.  The summer kicked off at Tapteil Winery where we catered their Wine Club Annual Dinner.  If you have not been to Tapteil in Benton City, WA make sure to add it to your wine tour.  The view from the patio is truly stunning.  Jane and Larry are bottling up fabulous wine.  I brought home several varieties and we have spent many an evening enjoying their wine.  I would have to say that the 2009 Syrah is my personal favorite.

We have already been up to Schweitzer Mountain for 2 events and all I can say is, WOW, what a great group of people.  It’s so cool to be up on the mountain, cooking pizza and listening to great music.  If you have not been up to the village lately, check out their website and attend an event.

This summers event schedule has also introduced me to something totally new in my world….motocross.  Chaun McAlister is putting on 1st rate events over at Kootenai County Fairgrounds.  He brings in riders from Metal Mullisha who showcase their tremendous talent and total lack of fear with some amazing jumping.  I have no idea what they are called, but they are heart stopping to watch!!  It’s also pretty darn cute to watch the youngest riders who are barely big enough to ride.  No fear and totally cute!!

On a more serious side, this past weekend we cooked pizza at the Liberty Lake Relay For Life cancer fundraising event.  As a former cancer patient, it was inspiring to see so many people giving so much of their time to raise money for such a wonderful charity. We live in a great community and this just showed us once again that there are so many good things going on around us every day.

Spring is nearly here! Time to fire up the oven…

It feels as if winter has gone on forever.  We are excited to fire up the oven and make pizza!  NOTHING compares to the flavor of pizza cooked on hot stones with the aroma and flavor of an apple wood fire.

We are busy scheduling events and have already committed to the Market At The Parkway in Richland, the Coeur d’ Alene Street Fair, as well as a private wine club dinner at Taptiel Winery.  Keep an eye on our home page calendar for all of the new additions that will be added over the next several weeks.

Our first season comes to an end…

What a wonderful summer it has been!  Roamin’ Pizza Chariot has become a huge success.  We have travelled throughout eastern Washington and north Idaho making wood-fired pizza at farmers markets, street fairs, art festivals and sports events.  

A big “thank you” to everyone at the Richland Farmers Market.  We have made so many new friends down there in such a short time and look forward to being a permanent food vendor for the 2012 season.

I would also like to thank the Liberty Lake Kiwanis for including us in several events right here at home in Liberty Lake.  We have a wonderful town thanks in great part to the events hosted by the Kiwanis.
